Number of children and Age: 18 month & newborn (to be born March 2026)
Type of Position: Full time, live out.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-7pm, Friday 8:30-6pm.
Compensation & benefits: PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.) The starting gross rate is expected to be $85,000-$95,000 annually inclusive of overtime and PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.). Guaranteed pay increase to take effect in March 2026 upon the birth of the second child (amount to be mutually agreed)

A loving family in Montclair, NJ is searching for a wonderful nanny for their growing family. The family has an 18 month old and is expecting a newborn in the Spring. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with experience caring for newborns and juggling the needs of multiple children. The ideal nanny should be compassionate, warm, an effective communicator, and able to confidently handle various child development milestones. Individuals who are proactive, organized, creative, and can foster an engaging and fun atmosphere will excel in this role. The family is looking for a candidate who will become part of the family in a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Manage daily care and supervision of the children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Adhere to and help craft the children’s schedule (e.g., Naps, feeding, doctors appointments, plan playdates and classes.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, books, stories, puzzles, supervising any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending play dates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping the children active and engaged
Ability to drive children in family’s car to and from toddler’s school and to activities and play dates
Ability to bottle feed and make simple, healthy meals for the children.
Laundry for the children
Knowledge on how to potty train
Keeping track of inventory and notifying parents in advance when supplies are running low
Manage all aspects of the children’s daily routine with cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, strollers, diaper bags, etc.
Keep children’s room and all common rooms they occupy clean and organized
Toddler may be in daycare during the day. During any downtime, ideal candidate would be willing to complete light house management including grocery shopping, loading / unloading dishwasher, bringing in mail / packages
Family has a 20lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Candidate to feed the dog once a day and let him in and out of the fenced in backyard
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Infant and toddler experience
Driver’s License
Up to date on all vaccinations (Covid, Flu and Tdap)
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Fluent in English
Though no required, ideal candidate would also speak Spanish or French
