A loving family in Morningside Heights, NY is looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing nanny for their 8-month-old son. The ideal candidate for this role is someone that is a team player with newborn childcare experience. In addition, the nanny must create a loving and stimulating atmosphere for their son. These conditions include reading to their son, facilitating fun and safe activities by having planned activities (in coordinating with the parents’ schedule), keeping their things organized, and more.

The nanny must be a team player, communicative, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Lastly, one of the parents works from home. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with the stay-at-home parent.

This position is a live-out position:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. (40 hrs. a week.) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.


Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Public Transportation Pass

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is moderate about Covid. They will wear masks while going out and will try to avoid crowds.

Start Date: Begins on 03/27/2023. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their son
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style.
Manage daily care and supervision of their son.
Adhere to the child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their son active and engage.
Ability to make very simple meals for their son.
Laundry for their son.
Manage all aspects of their son’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn experience
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
