Nanny Needed for Family in the East Village

A private New York Family is looking for a career nanny to care for their 18-month-old toddler. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with young children. The nanny must be able to provide a warm, stimulating, and fun environment for the child. The nanny must be communicative, caring, safety-oriented, patient, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Possessing a familiarity with technological devices is an asset. A positive attitude and willingness to work as a team and be open to taking direction will help provide the best environment for their toddler and family as a whole.

This position is full-time, live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting from 8:00 am to 4:00pm (40hrs a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $27-$30 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family risk tolerance on Covid is small.

Start Date: Begins as soon as family finds the right fit. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first and communication
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their child
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development through positive language and behavior (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engaged
Ability to make very simple meals for their child.
Laundry for their child.
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Toddler experience
Passport
Traveling experience
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
