Nanny Needed for Family on UES, NY

A private family in New York, NY, is looking for a dedicated, professional nanny for their two children of ages 2.5 years old and 2 months old. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience providing care to multiple children, specifically newborns to toddlers, with the expertise to achieve every developmental milestone that the children need. In addition, it is important for the nanny to multitask while creating a stimulating, loving, and safe environment for their children. This will require reading and talking to them, facilitating creative activities that are both fun and safe, coordinating with the family calendar, keeping the children’s property organized, and more.

The nanny must be experienced, organized, energetic, a team player, well-spoken, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Being able to multitask, while providing childcare, is paramount. You will be working in a fast-paced household with other staff members, so being a team player is essential. The family travels, so the candidate must be both passport ready and adaptable. Lastly, one of the parents is a stay-at-home parent. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with the parent.

This position is a flexible, full-time live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (55 hrs. a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$45 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Public transportation pass

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid.

Start Date: Begins ASAP. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their children
Adhere to their children’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their children active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for their children.
Laundry for their children.
Manage all aspects of their children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn experience
Pre-K experience
Multiple children experience
Basic Tech Savvy
Passport
Traveling experience
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
