A loving family of three in Brooklyn Heights, NY, is looking for a nurturing, responsible nanny for their soon-to-be 4-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with experience working with infants and is capable of creating a fun, loving, and stimulating environment for their daughter.

The nanny should be proactive, understanding, and a self-starter who can troubleshoot issues independently. While also capable of following the parent’s advice and direction. Lastly, one of the parents has flexible schedules to work from home once a week. The nanny must be comfortable working closely with the parents when they are home.

This position is live-out only:
The schedule is Monday-Friday (40 hrs. a week). Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
The family travels to the Hamptons, so a nanny is expected to join over the Summer for about 2 weeks. During this time, the nanny can return home over the weekend. .

Family’s Pet:
The family has a 30-pound labradoodle. You don’t have to provide care for the dog.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Public transportation pass

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is expects candidate to be vaccinated about.

Start Date: Begins on 09/30/2023. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their daughter
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their daughter
Adhere to their daughter’s schedule (e.g., Naps, feeding, tummy time, classes, doctor appointment and more.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., tummy time, stories, music, introducing colors, shapes and puzzles.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their daughter active and engage
Ability to bottle feed, handle breast milk or prepare formula. When the daughter is older ability to create healthy purees and meals for her.
Laundry for the baby.
Light housekeeping
Manage all aspects of their daughter’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Infant experience
Foreign Language is a plus
Swimming is a plus
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
