Overnight Nanny Needed for Family in Greenwich, CT

A loving family in Greenwich, CT is looking for a patient, reliable nanny for their 2.5 year old. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience providing overnight care. If you have experience in providing care to toddlers, especially a child who exhibits unique behavioral traits and needs a warm personality to support him, this is the role for you.

The nanny must be patient, warm, reliable, fun, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently.

This position is a flexible, full-time, live-in or live-out:
The schedule is Sunday evening through Friday morning from 8:00 pm - 8:00 am (+50 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate would be flexible.
To create a long term role, the position could transition to Daytime hours once the toddler is sleeping through the night. An ideal candidate would be comfortable with that transition. If not, the position will last until the little one is sleeping through the night.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Private room with bathroom in air conditionedattic, or room closer to the child’s bedroom.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The ideal candidate would be vaccinated, and would take reasonable steps to help prevent spreading germs (wear a mask if he/she has the sniffles/cough).

Start Date: Begins asap. This is a long-term role.

When Position transitions to Daytime, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their child
Help calm the toddler down to fall asleep.
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., school drop-off and pick-ups, and any planned playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engaged
Ability to make very simple meals for their child.
Laundry for their child.
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 3 years of professional Nanny experience
Toddler experience
Pre-K experience
School-age children experience
Special needs experience
Driver’s License
CPR and First-Aid certifications
