
Spanish Speaking Nanny Needed for Family in West Village

A loving family in the West Village, is looking for a warm, engaging nanny for their one-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate for this role is a nanny with infant and toddler experience. In addition, the nanny must be able to create an inspirational and nurturing environment for their daughter. This would require reading, talking, facilitating fun and safe activities, coordinating the family’s calendar, keeping their things organized, and more.
The nanny must be friendly, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. The ability to speak Spanish or Mandarin is required for this role. The ideal candidate has a pitch-in attitude and can take initiative whether through helping the parents with simple household tasks and cooking is required.
This position is a live-out position:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. (40 hrs. a week.) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
During the summer, the hours will be from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Household Pets:
The family has a dog. A 25 lb. mutt. Nanny must be comfortable around dogs.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
W2 to be issued annually
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid. They will wear mask while using public transportation and would try to avoid crowds.
Start Date: Begins on 04/10/2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the baby
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style.
Manage daily care and supervision of the baby.
Adhere to the baby’s schedule (e.g.,Classes, playdates, Doctor’s appointment etc.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any future schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their baby active and engage.
Ability to make meals for their baby.
Laundry for their baby, and family as time allows.
Manage all aspects of the baby’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Infant & toddler experience
Foreign Language: Spanish or Mandarin
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
