Family Location: Financial District, Manhattan, NY
Number of children and Age: 1 child, 9-month-old daughter at the start date.
Type of Position: Temporary, Full-time, Live-out. Occasional flexibility required on hours.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, typically 40 hours a week. The family’s ideal schedule is 9 am to 6 pm on Mondays-Thursdays, and 9 am to 1 pm on Fridays, but the family is happy to work with the right candidate if another arrangement is better for that person.
Compensation & benefits: $35-$40.
Start Date: 08/31/2026

Additional Info: The family has a friendly hypoallergenic dog. The candidate is only responsible for refilling his water. Must feel comfortable around dogs. Must be able to lift, carry, and push 40 pounds. Their building has three shallow steps to get in the front door, and the nanny must be able to get a stroller in and out.

A warm and loving family in New York, NY is seeking a caring, engaging, and detail-oriented nanny to care for their 9-month-old daughter from the end of August through mid-January 2027. The ideal candidate will have both infant and toddler experience and enjoy supporting the child’s development through safe exploratory play, age-appropriate activities, and outings while maintaining a consistent daily routine. A background in early childhood education or Montessori is a strong plus.

The family is looking for someone who is nurturing, organized, and proactive. They value a nanny who will keep them informed, collaborate closely with them, and help create a positive and supportive environment for their daughter. They also prefer a screen-free approach, with no TV, phones, or other electronic devices used with the child. The family is particularly eager for a candidate who will communicate clearly with the parents to ensure the experience is positive for all involved.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring the child’s safety and well-being at all times. This includes proactively alerting the family to any potential hazards or issues.
Providing attentive care for the family’s 9-month-old daughter, including engaging in age-appropriate play, activities, and outings.
Maintaining the child’s daily routine, including meals, naps, and developmental activities.
Communicating with the parents on all aspects of the care of their child.
Planning fun and enriching activities that encourage learning and creativity.
Preparing simple meals and snacks and ensuring safe mealtime feeding.
Cleaning and laundering the child’s clothes and toys as appropriate.
Cleaning and maintaining all household equipment relating to the child (e.g., bottles and bottle sterilizer). Must be able to use all equipment related to the care of the child in a safe and professional manner (e.g., stroller and car seat).
Caring for the child if she is sick, including taking her to doctor’s appointments (parents will introduce you to her doctor).
Keeping the child’s spaces tidy and organized.
Light household support such as tidying common areas, unloading/loading the dishwasher, an occasional load of family laundry, and general organization.
Running occasional errands (groceries, pickups, etc.).
Occasionally supervising contractors, vendors, or tradesmen in the home.
Handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Includes not taking or using any photos of the child for personal use. Please do not share any photos of family or child with anyone outside of the parents, unless you have received explicit direction to do so.


Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Having Montessori or Early Childhood experience is preferred.
Experience in caring for Infants and toddlers.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Flu, MMR, COVID-19, and Boosters).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
