Family Overview:
A loving first-time family based in San Francisco’s Mission Bay is seeking an experienced, nurturing nanny to care for their infant starting in July 2025. This is a temporary role (6 months) as the family plans to relocate to New York City in late 2025. They are seeking a warm, engaged nanny who is confident in infant care, understands developmental milestones, and can help support the early stages of sleep schedules, feeding routines, and early stimulation.
They would love someone who is proactive, communicative, and a true team player. While the role is short-term, the family is committed to making it a rewarding and well-supported experience for the right person, and are open to offering a competitive rate based on experience and fit.
The household includes a sweet golden retriever named Sylvie. The dog has her own care structure in place (including daycare and a dog walker), so while dog-lovers are appreciated, there will be very limited pet-related responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure infant’s safety at all times
Support in feeding (bottles, possible solid introduction if age-appropriate)
Diapering and general hygiene
Monitor and guide nap schedules and sleep routines
Facilitate tummy time and age-appropriate stimulation
Track developmental milestones and share updates with parents
Handle child-related laundry and maintain nursery cleanliness
Prepare bottles and sterilize baby items
Light housekeeping related to the child (dishes, tidying baby areas)
Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience, especially with infants
Infant CPR & First Aid Certified
Up-to-date on vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19 + booster)
Comfortable with large dogs
Warm, calm, and highly reliable
Open to a short-term/temporary position
