Temporary Rota Nanny (West Village, Manhattan)

Location: West Village, Manhattan

Compensation: $40-$45 an hour.

A warm and experienced nanny is sought to provide temporary coverage for a family in West Village, Manhattan. The role is caring for a 7-month-old baby and will run for approximately three months while the permanent nanny is on maternity leave.

The position is structured on a rota schedule (one week on, one week off), and requires someone flexible, nurturing, and confident with infant care routines. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to seamlessly step into an established household.

Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for a 7-month-old baby.
Maintain feeding, napping, and playtime schedules.
Plan age-appropriate activities to encourage learning and milestones.
Ensure the baby’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
Pack and prepare for travel, and accompany the family on local and domestic trips.
Light nursery-related duties (baby laundry, bottle sterilization, keeping play and feeding areas tidy).

Requirements
Previous experience caring for infants (7 months and up).
Strong knowledge of infant development, routines, and safety.
Flexibility to travel locally and domestically as needed.
Ability to commit to a rota schedule: 1 week on / 1 week off. Live-in during on weeks
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
