Upper East Side Family Seeks Experienced Nanny For Infant And Preschooler

A caring family residing on the Upper East Side of New York is seeking an enthusiastic and exceptional nanny for their two children: a 2-year-old son and a 4-month-old daughter. This role is perfect for an experienced candidate well-versed in caring for both infants and preschool-aged children simultaneously.

They seek an attentive, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual who is passionate about playing a vital role in the development of the children. You must be someone who is excited to get on the floor and play with the children. Additionally, the son has therapy sessions and attends preschool three times a week, potentially having pick-up and drop-off responsibilities. Lastly, the nanny must be active, calm, organized, punctual, and proactive.

This position is a full-time live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (45 hours a week).

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)

Start Date: Begins asap. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first. The safety and well-being of the children is the most important priority.
Embraces family parenting style, working closely with parents.
Engage with the children when they are awake with play time, reading, floor or park play, music, and other age-appropriate activities.
Take the 2 year old to therapy, activities, and classes according to his schedule. Take the infant to classes as needed as she gets older. Plan play dates as time allows.
Work as a partner with the children’s (currently just the son) therapists to support his development, incorporating activities from the sessions into their daily routines as appropriate.
Prepare and feed them solid food as appropriate. The family will provide their food.
Keep the children clean by changing diapers, clothes, etc.
Keep their rooms and toys tidy. Clean their toys periodically.
Do laundry for the children 1-2x/week. The laundry is located on our floor.


Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Minimum of 3 exceptional references
Infant through Pre-K experience
Up to date on all vaccinations (annual flu and Tdap)
CPR and First-Aid certifications
