Families Location: Long Island City
Number of children and Age: 1 child, 1-year-old daughter
Type of Position: Full time, Live out. Must be flexible.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am-6 pm (50 hrs.).
Compensation & benefits: $30–$40/hour; 2 weeks paid vacation; paid federal holidays; 5 sick days; OMNY pass provided; healthcare reimbursement/stipend available (details to be discussed.)
Start Date: 05/11 or 05/18
Travel Required: No.
Additional info: The family has a cat, so comfort with cats is required. The family is currently located in Long Island City but plans to relocate to the Upper East Side in the future, so candidates should be comfortable with this transition.

Family Overview:
A loving family currently based in Long Island City, Queens, NY is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced nanny to join their parenting team and care for their 1-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate has experience working with infants and toddlers and brings a strong understanding of early childhood development and developmental milestones. The family is currently located in Long Island City but plans to relocate to the Upper East Side in the future, so candidates should be comfortable with commuting to LIC and eventually Manhattan.

The nanny should love engaging children through age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, movement, and imagination while supporting the child’s development. Taking the child to local classes, activities, and outings will also be an important part of the role.

The ideal candidate is kind, creative, organized, and respectful of the family’s parenting style and childcare preferences.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing attentive and nurturing care for the family’s infant daughter
Supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate play, interaction, and daily routines
Planning engaging activities that encourage curiosity, movement, and learning
Taking the child to local classes, playgroups, and neighborhood outings
Preparing bottles and ensuring feeding supplies are cleaned and organized
Sterilizing bottles, pacifiers, and teething toys as needed
Preparing healthy meals and finger foods appropriate for their toddler who is exploring new textures and foods
Maintaining the child’s schedule, including naps, feeding, and playtime
Keeping the nursery, toys, and child-related areas tidy and organized
Handling the child’s laundry and other baby-related tasks
Communicating regularly with the parents about the child’s day and developmental progress
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ensure a positive, calm, and supportive environment for their daughter

Qualifications:
Legally Authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for infants and toddlers.
CPR and First-Aid certifications
​​A background in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred
A drivers license is a plus, but not required.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, MMR, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster)
