
Wonderful, Live-in Nanny Needed for Family on the Upper East Side
Upper East Side, Manhattan, NY
A private family located on the UES is searching for an enthusiastic and dependable nanny to care for their three children, aged 7, 5, and 3 years old. The ideal candidate for this position should have prior experience in managing multiple children and be able to create a nurturing, loving, and safe environment for them. This entails activities such as reading, engaging in creative and safe play, coordinating with the family's schedule, maintaining the children's belongings, and more. It's essential to note that the eldest child has a nut allergy.
The nanny should possess qualities like strong organizational skills, confidence, reliability, punctuality, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the capability to handle challenges independently. Swimming skills are a requirement. As the children are of school age, they will be attending school part of the day, so the candidate must be flexible enough to assist with early morning school drop-offs and pick-ups after school.
This position is a flexible, full-time live-in position:
The schedule will be split shifts.
The schedule is Monday through Friday.
It will be from 7:00 am - 9:30 am. Then from 12:00 pm – 7:30 pm (+50 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice, covering weekends. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Pet Care:
The family has a hamster.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their children
Adhere to their children’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their children active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for their children.
Laundry for their children.
Manage all aspects of their children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.
Qualifications:
● US, Work Authorization
● Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
● Pre-K experience
● School-age children experience
● Multiple children experience
● Up to date on all vaccinations
● Covid vaccination and boosted
● CPR and First-Aid certifications
