Wonderful Live-in Nanny Needed for Family in Sands Point, New York

Families Location: Sands Point, NY
Number of children and Age: 1 child, their 3-year-old daughter.
Type of Position: Full time, Live in. Must be flexible.
Schedule: Monday – Friday (or Saturday), 7:30 am – 7:30 pm or 8:00 am – 8:00 pm (60 hrs). For some weeknights and weekends, overtime may be needed.
Compensation & benefits: $27-$35/hr. DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, 6 federal holidays and 5 sick days.).
Start Date: 12/29/25.
Travel Required: Yes.
Additional info: The family has a pet Goldendoodle. Must be comfortable living in a home with a dog.

A loving family in Sands Point, NY, is looking for a professional, nurturing nanny for their 3-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background providing care to Pre-K children. In addition, the nanny must facilitate fun and safe age-appropriate activities, coordinating family calendar, keep the household organize while their daughter is in Pre-K, and more.

The nanny must be kind, trustworthy, organized, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. The nanny should be respectful and supportive of the family’s parenting style and childcare preferences. Being communicative and engaging with their daughter is important. The nanny must manage their daughter schedule, daily routines, and transportation. Household task such as running errands, shopping, maintaining inventory, light housekeeping, families’ laundry and making meals for their daughter is needed. Must assist with directing household vendors and obtaining deliveries.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Prioritize safety while adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Manage daily care and supervision of their daughter
Ability to create healthiness meals and snacks for their daughter when possible.
Engage their daughter in activities that promote intellectual and social development, such as music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.
Adhere to their daughter’s schedule as time progress (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Assist with bath times and changing clothes.
Assist with light housekeeping and upkeep, clean dishes, organizing their daughter’s room and play area is needed.
Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying their daughter's areas, organizing toys and books.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Multiple children experience
Strong references from previous families or past employers
Must have a driver’s license with a clean driving record
Passport is required
Must be able to cook meals for the household
Light pet care for dog
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
