Sweet and Caring Nanny Needed for 18-month-old in Armonk, NY

A laid-back family in Armonk, NY, is seeking a full-time, career nanny for their 18-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate is energetic, joyful, proactive, flexible, respectful, and professional.  Their candidate has lots of experience working with infants and toddlers, exhibits calm under pressure, and can bring their knowledge of early developmental milestones/transitions to the table. The ability to create an engaging, happy, and calm atmosphere will help me excel in this role. The family has a 13-year-old dog. Ideal candidates must be comfortable around dogs.


This position is a full-time, live-out position:

  • This is a full-time, live-out position.

  • Both parents will be working from home. You must be able to work independently.

  • The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Compensation & Benefits

  • All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $26 net an hour. In addition, there is PTO (2-weeks of vacation, Paid federal holidays, sick days etc.,)

Start Date: FALL (Late September/ October)

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Safety first—always

  • Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of toddler

  • Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style while offering advice for first-time parents

  • Bottle feedings, diaper changes, baby’s laundry, keeping track of baby items to ensure they stay stocked, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, and eventually potty training!

  • Help with meal preparation.

  • Manage daily care and supervision of a toddler

  • Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, etc.)

  • Facilitate physical development (e.g., running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way.

  • Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates

  • Monitor the development of fine motor and sensory skills

  • Help with speech and language development

  • Manage all aspects of children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag, etc.

Qualifications:

  • US, Work Authorization

  • A valid and clean driver's license

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience

  • Infant and toddler experience

  • CPR and First-Aid certifications

  • Must be Covid vaccinated
